Butter Dips
450° oven for 15 to 20 minutes
9×9″ square pan
Set aside 1/4 cup melted butter
In bowl:
1 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
Stir until dough forms (30 strokes)
Turn dough onto floured board.
Knead for about 10 minutes.
Roll out to 8 inch square.
With floured knife divide dough in half and 9 (4 inch strips). (RecipeCurio note: can someone clarify this? I’m not sure I’m reading this right)
Dip strips in butter. Arrange strips close together in 2 rolls on cookie sheet.

Sticky-Gooey Brownies
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 pkg. dark ‘n sweet choc. pudding mix
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
2 sq. unsweetened baking choc, melted with 1 Tbsp. margarine
Sift or stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Beat in the sugar, then add melted margarine, vanilla and dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in pudding mix and pecans. Turn into a well-greased and floured baking dish, approximately 10×6 3/4 in. Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 min.
Remove from oven and cover immediately with marshmallow. Cool for about 20 min. and pour melted chocolate over top. Finish cooling and cut in squares. Makes about 15 brownies.

Cheesy Dapper Apple Squares
Oven 350°
12 to 15 Servings
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
–Mix until crumbly; set aside 1 1/2 c. crumbs. Pat remaining crumbs into an ungreased 13×9″ baking pan.
6 slices (part of 8 oz pkg) American or Cheddar Cheese Slices
–Place over crumbs.
2 1/2 c (3 medium) sliced cooking apples
3/4 c. sugar
–Combine; sprinkle over cheese slices.
1/2 c. chopped nuts.
–Sprinkle reserved 1 1/2 c. crumbs and nuts over apples.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 min. until golden brown.
Serve warm.
Store in refrigerator.

Fudge
4 1/2 cups sugar (white)
1 large can milk (carnation)
and boil 6 mi. stir constantly.
Then remove from fire and add
1 giant Hershey bar
1 pkg of chocolate chips
1 8 oz jar of marshmallow cream.
Stir until all is dissolved and pour in buttered pan & let cool. Cut in squares.

2 c apple slices
1 c sugar
2 Table flour (heaping)

CHOCOLATE APPLESAUCE BROWNIES
Melt over hot water:
1/2 cup shortening
6 tablespoons cocoa
Blend in:
1 cup sugar
2 eggs well beaten
1/2 cup applesauce
vanilla
Sift together:
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Nuts optional
Stir dry ingredients into other mixture.
Spread in a greased and floured pan.
Bake 35 to 40 min. at 350 or until top springs back when lightly touched. Frost with chocolate icing if desired. Cut in squares.

O Henry Bars
6 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup melted fat
4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup white corn syrup
Mix above and bake in 13×9 pan @ 350° 20-25 min.
Mix 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and 3/4 cup peanut butter and spread on hot mixture. Cut while warm – refrigerate.
