Try this creamy dressing on any fruit salad for a really special treat!

Creamy Fruit Salad Dressing

1/2 cup real mayonnaise
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1/4 cup Karo light corn syrup

Combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth. Makes 1 1/4 cups.

Spoon this creamy dressing over any fruit or make one of these exciting variations:

Berry

Add 3/4 cup thawed frozen berries, drained. Makes 2 cups.

Celery Seed

Add 1 Tbsp. lemon juice and 1 tsp. celery seed. Makes about 1-1/4 cups.

Spicy Sweet

Add 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1/4 tsp. ground ginger and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. Makes about 1-1/4 cups.

Beat eggs thoroughly. Sift flour and baking powder. Add milk to eggs, then add dry ingredients and beat mixture thoroughly. Then add butter.

3 cups crisp honey graham cereal squares
3 cups bite-size crispy corn cereal squares
1/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups popcorn
1 1/2 cups M & Ms plain chocolate candies
1 cup raisins

Combine cereals in large bowl. Melt margarine over low heat and add orange rind and cinnamon; mix until well blended. Pour seasoned margarine over cereals, mixing until cereal is thoroughly coated. Place in 15½x10½-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from oven and add to combined popcorn, candies and raisins, mixing well. Cool completely before serving. Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 9 cups of snack mix.

MICROWAVE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
4 1/2 teaspoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
8 cups of your favorite Chex brand cereals (Corn, Rice and/or Wheat)
1 cup Planters Mixed Nuts or Planters Peanuts
1 cup Keebler Butter Brains

  1. In small bowl add seasoned salt and worcestershire sauce to melted margarine; mix well. Pour cereals, nuts and pretzels into large GLAD-LOCK Zipper bag. Makes 9 cups.
  2. Pour margarine mixture over cereal mixture inside GLAD-LOCK ZIPPER bag. Seal top of bag securely. Shake bag until all pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Pour contents of bag into large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.* Spread on absorbent paper to cool. Store in large GLAD-LOCK ZIPPER bag or airtight container.

Conventional Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 250°F. 2. Follow steps 1 and 2 above. 3. Transfer mix to open roasting pan. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and store as directed above.

*Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking time may need adjustment. These directions were developed using 625 to 700 watt ovens.

7-8 qts. unsalted popcorn
1 pkg of 3 oz. gelatine (1 pk unflavored gelatine)
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
few drops orange food coloring.

Mix and heat to full rolling boil.

Pour over popcorn.

Let cool to form balls.

Baked Popcorn Crunch

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 qts. unsalted popped corn
1 c. whole pecans or mixed nuts

Cream butter; add brown sugar, and cream until fluffy.

Combine popcorn and pecans. Mix with creamed mixture.

Bake in a 350° oven about 8 minutes or until crisp.
