Wow, this must be the genuine recipe. There are so many variations of hot spiced tea recipes floating around on the net. I have never seen one from an actual Tang ad before.

This is the right recipe- my family used to make this when I was a kid, growing up down south. We used the recipe from the Tang jar. I’m so glad I found this- I’m living in the Yankee North, now :-) and will be making up batches to give as Christmas presents.

Hot Tang per Renee 11/11/10
My Mother used to make a Russian Tea Mix with Tang. I think it had Instant Tea(or Bigleo Constant Comment Tea?), Brown sugar, cinnemon, nutmeg, clove ( maybe apple pie spices)- those are the flavors I remember. I’ll check with my sister over Thanksgiving & try to remember to repost.

I used the original Tang recipe for my children when they were growing up . Still fix a jar for my son occasionally and he takes it to work in winter months . Think I will make a note to fix a batch come winter months as I haven’t fixed in some time .

If I was going to make a gallon of the Russian Tea then how much of the mixture would I put in?
