Try out 2 thin 2-inch slices salt pork, diced; add 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion and cook until golden brown. Combine pork, onion, and drippings with 2 pounds ground round beef, 1/2 cup Minute Tapioca, 2 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and 2 cups strained canned tomatoes. Mix thoroughly. My grandma made what we fondly called tapioca meatloaf when we were kids. Yes, it was in the 1950’s. Wow, that sounds so long ago! I guess it was. I know it was when I have to scroll through a couple of pages to get to the year of my brith. Any way… Grandma cooked it in a Dutch oven on top of the stove for whatever seamed like forever to my little self. It’s really yummy comfort food. Thanks so much. Try it!
