This recipe was clipped from packaging of some kind, probably Dream Whip. Date is unknown, I’d guess anywhere between the 1980s and 1990s. The recipe is typed below along with a scanned copy.

I use to have a mincemeat pie recipe which used Dream Whip, Cool Whip and Sour Cream. I have lost the recipe and would love to have it, if anyone can share it with me.

I’m not sure if this is the one you are looking for, but I use it all the time and it is so yummy!

crust:
1 1/2 cups crushed ginger snaps
1/3 cup melted butter

filling:
1 cup mincemeat
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tub (8 oz) cool whip – thawed
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp rum extract

make crust and press firmly into bottom and on sides of pan. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

Combine filling ingredients and mix well. Fill shell and freeze until firm.

I’ve had a variation of this recipe. My mother in law use to make it with cream cheese and pineapple in addition to the other ingredients, have you heard of this? If so, do you have the exact recipe?
