This recipe was clipped from a newspaper and found in a large collection, date unknown. I’ve typed it below along with a scanned copy.
Hamburger Stroganoff
One-half cup minced onion
One clove garlic, minced
One-fourth cup butter
One pound hamburger
Two tbsps. flour
Two tsps. salt
One-quarter tsp. pepper
One can (eight ounces) mushrooms, drained
One can cream of chicken soup
One cup sour cream
Saute onion, garlic in butter. Add hamburger. When meat is browned, stir in flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Cook five minutes. Stir in soup. Stir in sour cream. Heat through and serve over noodles or rice. Serves four generously.

I found many like it, but not the one I have enjoyed over the years. It’s quick, easy and to die for. Thank you for posting it.
