This recipe was clipped from a magazine and found in a large collection. I believe it’s a promo piece for Thank You Brand pie filling since it’s one of the ingredients listed, published in 1984. I’ve typed it below along with a scanned copy.
Apple Angel Pie (Serves 6)
1 can Thank You Brand regular or new Lite apple pie filling
1 unbaked graham cracker crust
1/2 C. chopped pecans
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Optional: Whipped cream topping or ice cream
Pre-heat oven to 350°. Combine pie filling, pecans, spices, salt and egg yolks. Fold in egg whites. Spread in crumb crust. Bake at 350° for 45 min. Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
