I was married in 1967. We had our honeymoon at a cabin on a country lake. In the living room was a Farm Journal magazine with this recipe. My boys grew up on this recipe. I usually dropped them instead of rolling them out because it was easier. I also froze them in a Pringles can and baked them as needed.
My cookbook is so smudged I could not read all the ingredients. Thanks so much. This recipe has always been a winner. I also halve it.
My Grandma baked this recipe from the Farm Journal magazine when I was young…it was an instant hit, and I’ve been baking these ever since. They’re like a breakfast cookie, and really fairly healthy! I misplaced my recipe card and panicked….so glad I found this. Thank you very much for posting this!
