They are lovely n yummy and easy to do.
I tried the Vintage Buttermilk Bisquit recipe. I used King Arthur unbleached flour. The mix was very dry. I added another 1/3 c. Of buttermilk; 1/4 c sour cream and that seemed to help. The bisquits were a little bland-not much taste. I did add shredded cold butter to the tops and sprinkled a scant bit of salt on top. But the tops and bottoms had a good crust on them-i baked them in a hot cast iron skillet. Of course, gravy made the bisquits disappear quickly. They turned out moist, but a little heavy. Good for folks having to work outside all day.
