This recipe was clipped from a newspaper and found in a large collection, date unknown. I’ve typed it below along with a scanned copy.
PRIZE-WINNING MEAT LOAF
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup tomato juice
3/4 cup old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Press firmly into ungreased 8-by-4-by-2-inch loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for about one hour. Let stand five minutes before slicing.
