Apple Custard Pie – Recipe Clipping

This promo recipe from Musselman’s Apple Sauce was clipped from a label and found in a large collection, date unknown. I’ve typed it below along with a scanned copy.

APPLE CUSTARD PIE

8-inch unbaked pastry crust
can or jar MUSSELMAN’S Apple Sauce (about 1 lb.)
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 Tabelsp. frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 teasp. pumpkin pie spice
few grains salt

Mix together apple sauce, milk, eggs, brown sugar, orange juice concentrate, spice and salt. Pour into pastry crust. Bake in 350 oven 1 hour 15 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean. Serve warm.
